The Mission Regional Chamber of Commerce has announced the winners of the 23rd Annual Business Excellence Awards.
The winners include:
- Business Leader of the Year: Greg Elford, The Penny
- Business of the Year (1-20 Employees): XAF Beauty
- Business of the Year (21+ Employees): Meridian Farm Market
- Young Entrepreneur of the Year: Samantha Jay, Soake Wax Bar
- Home-Based Business of the Year: What’s On! Mission Magazine
- Charitable or Non-Profit Organization of the Year: SARA for Women
- Customer Service Excellence Award: Heritage Park Pharmacy
- Employer of the Year: Mission Hospice Society
- Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion Award: Mission Association for Community Living
According to organizers, each winner has demonstrated exceptional leadership, innovation, and commitment to excellence in their respective fields. Their dedication to serving our community and driving economic growth is truly commendable.

This year’s awards were held on Feb. 23 and were a departure from the traditional galas of the past. The event took place at local manufacturer V.I.P. Soap Products’ new warehouse and featured a live performance by local musician, Miss Shauna Singer, and the talents of Mission’s own Triumph Acrobatics, as they soared overhead with an almost 30 feet high aerial silks display.
Other features like a sparkling wine fountain and mashed potato bar made the evening a fun and unique night out for businesses and local dignitaries.
The event was made possible by the generous support of community partners, whose commitment to fostering economic growth and prosperity in Mission is invaluable.
