Texan musician brings lively voice to Mission

Texas singer-songwriter Carrie Elken will be in Mission for the Home Routes concert on Wednesday, Nov. 21.

Elken is emerging as an unforgettable singer-songwriter.

She’s an artist full of contrast and contradiction, yet it all comes together. Her voice, stories, grace and enthusiasm create an incredible buzz and her live performances are not to be missed.

She can turn a delicate note info a tidal wave of emotions.

Doors open at 7:30 p.m. and the show starts at 8 p.m. at the Mission Arts Centre and Gallery.

The Home Routes house concert circuits are made up of 12 houses which the artist tours in 14 days. Each house concert host presents six shows over the course of a year, which runs September to April with a two-month break at Christmas and New Years.

Other shows coming up in Mission are Kim Dunn (Feb. 7), Jess Reimer (March 8), and Silk Road (April 6).
