Buckle your theatre seats, this holiday season O Christmas Tea: A British Comedy, makes its triumphant return to Mission.

Comedy Legends James and Jamesy are poised and ready to sweep audiences away in an unforgettable story of adventure, friendship and, indeed, tea. This uniquely entertaining and eccentric production is wildly popular with over 125,000 tickets sold since 2013 across Canada and the U.S.

O Christmas Tea comes to Mission’s Clarke Theatre on Dec. 31 at 3 p.m.

Reminiscent of classic British pantos, and blending physical comedy, quick-witted wordplay, and cleverly crafted interactive elements, the show brings to life a holiday production that ignites the imagination and uplifts audiences.

James (Aaron Malkin) and Jamesy (Alastair Knowles) are master physical comedians with 27 comedy awards to their name.

What makes O Christmas Tea a truly exceptional show is its careful weaving of hilarious antics, heartfelt storytelling, and expert audience interaction – bringing patrons of all ages into a world of pure imagination.

“Theatre is in its essence an exercise in imagination, a suspension of disbelief,” said Knowles, who plays the eccentric Jamesy character. “O Christmas Tea focuses on, and plays with, this distinction.”

“We are thrilled to bring friends and family together. Particularly at this time of year, we are reminded to dream big, embrace imagination, and celebrate a childlike excitement for merriment,” said Malkin. “And for audiences that have already made O Christmas Tea part of their traditions, there will be some surprises we look forward to sharing!”
