Palate to Palette combines food, art and more

Event takes place Saturday, Oct. 28 in Mission

Palate to Palette: A Taste of Mission will be held Saturday, Oct. 28 at Heritage Park Centre (33700 Prentis Ave.).

The event runs from 7 to 9 p.m. and celebrates Mission through food and heritage, and is the final Mission 125th anniversary event.

Providing special tasting plates are five local restaurants – The English Tarts, Sangam Sweets, The Blackberry Kitchen/Martin’s Downtown, Hottiesfoods and Young’s Sushi Kitchen.

Mission Springs Brewing Company has produced a 125th anniversary ale that guests will get to take home along with a commemorative glass, and the company will also host a cash bar.

The event also features live music, art displays, heritage awards and the launch of the book Mission As It Was.

Tickets are $40 and are available at the Mission Leisure Centre, the Clarke Theatre and the Mission Community Archives.
