The spectacular Seal sisters have done it again.

This time the Mission siblings dominated at the Canada Summer Games, which wrapped up in Winnipeg on Sunday.

Alexia and Victoria Seal earned wrestling gold medals in both team and individual competitions at the Games, to continue a memorable year for the grappling duo.

The Seals helped Team B.C. go a perfect 4-0 in qualifying action to finish first in their pool, and then helped the team defeat Alberta 32-18 in the gold medal contest on Aug. 10.

Both girls also went a flawless 7-0 in individual competition, with Alexia defeating Alberta’s Kenza Messaoudini 5-0 in the 44 kilograms gold medal match on Aug. 11. Victoria took down Saskatchewan’s Aleah Nickel 3-1 in the 56 kg gold medal match also on Aug. 11.

Mission’s Haley Klenk also impressed in the pool, earning a silver medal in the women’s 100 metres backstroke and a bronze as part of the Team B.C. girls 4X100m medley relay.

Klenk finished third in her first heat, then finished second overall out of 16 swimmers in the two final races to pick up the silver. She also eighth in the 50m backstroke and 11th in the 50m fly.

Mission swimmer Sheigh Gaudette also had a strong showing at the Games, placing fifth in the 50m breaststroke and ninth in the 100m breaststroke.

Last week saw local rower McKenna Simpson earn silver medals in both the double sculls and quadruple sculls events.

Last week also saw Mission’s Bryce Mackenzie place 10th overall in the long jump.
