Heritage forum Feb. 23
The Mission Heritage Commission is hosting a community forum later this month to develop criteria for future heritage and development planning.
The Feb. 23 event is open to all Mission residents, and organizers want to know what things you value most about the community, the historic places you treasure and your future wishes. The forum will be held at the Leisure Centre in room A4 and B at 6:30 p.m.
The heritage commission was established in January 2007 and is comprised of 12 voting members appointed by municipal council. The group advises council on heritage matters and is working towards implementing a heritage strategic plan, the development of a heritage register and recognizing people whose accomplishments, projects or efforts further conservation.
