$130K in gaming grants released to Mission groups

Six community organizations have received funding from the provincial government

Six Mission non-profit groups will receive a total of $130,510 in the latest rounds of gaming grants released by the provincial government.

Grant recipients are: District of Mission Arts Council ($10,000); Long-Term Inmates Now in the Community ($20,950); Mission Association for Community Living ($46,260); Mission Community Services Society ($32,000); Mission Adopt-a-Block Society ($11,300), and; The Westcoast Harmony Chorus of Sweet Adelines International ($10,000).

Community Gaming Grants help local groups provide services for families in the areas of sports, arts and culture, public safety, environment, human and social services, and parent advisory and district parent advisory councils. Organizations receiving funding in this batch offer programs in human and social services.
