Mission Shoppers robbed Thursday night
Mission RCMP have a man in custody suspected of robbing the local Shoppers Drug Mart, and potentially from committing the same crime at an Abbotsford gas station.
According to RCMP Sgt. Daniel Pons, a lone male entered the Mission drug store on Lougheed Highway just before midnight Oct. 6. He approached the pharmacist, produced a weapon and made threats, then fled after securing drugs.
The clothing description, and other evidence found at the scene, led police to a Mission home where they arrested one male.
Police suspect he may have been involved in a robbery at around 10 p.m. Oct. 6 at the Shell gas station on the corner of Riverside Road and Harris Road.
