A male suspected of robbing a couple of local stores at knife point within two days has been arrested.

Mission RCMP were called to Wentings' Cycle and Mountain Shop on North Railway Avenue Monday afternoon after a man, mistaking two female customers as employees, pulled a knife and demanded money.

When they didn't give him any, he approached the store owner, and made off with a small amount of cash. The male was found minutes later by police and arrested inside a nearby business.

Just before 10 p.m. Feb. 19, a knife-wielding male entered the Petro Canada station on Horne Street and ordered the employee to give him money. He left with an undisclosed sum. The suspect was described as wearing a black balaclava, black and grey jacket, and a black hoodie.

Anyone with information regarding these or any similar incidents are asked to contact the Mission RCMP at 604-826-7161. If you wish to remain anonymous please call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
