Mission RCMP were handing out "most wanted" flyers Thursday afternoon containing pictures of rioters from last summer's Stanley Cup Final in Vancouver who have so far evaded identification by police.

Insp. Richard Konarski said the BC Chiefs of Police came together to organize a wider regional search with the Integrated Riot Investigation Team in the hopes people will recognize one of the faces and come forward to police.

"I think most people in the community say it's not right that people ended up ruining something that should have been a great memory and ended up scarring a community," he said as he handed out flyers outside the Safeway supermarket.

"The message is that we're still coming. We're happy to work with our partners in the Vancouver police department and I know right across the Fraser Valley other RCMP detachments are jumping in."

Police have thousands of pictures of people who participated in the June 15 riot, but many have yet to be identified. But Konarski said that doesn't mean they're off the hook.

"The bottom line is if you do the crime we're coming after you."
