Cyclist airlifted following crash in Mission

No other vehicles were involved in Tuesday-morning incident

Police and amublance crews were at First Avenue and Murray Street on Tuesday morning after a cyclist was injured in a crash.

A cyclist was airlifted to hospital following a crash Tuesday morning in Mission.

The incident took place at about 9 a.m. in the area of First Avenue and Murray Street.

Mission RCMP Const. James Mason said the man, in his 40s, lost control of his bicycle and crashed. Nobody else was involved.

The man was transported to hospital by air ambulance, which landed at Mission Raceway.

Mason did not know what injuries the cyclist sustained.
