PROFILE: Cindy Miller, trustee
I’ve been a resident of Mission for 19 years, and have three sons that have graduated on different paths from Mission schools. Currently, I’m Chair of the Board of Education and have served two terms as trustee. My experience includes involvement in Education, Business, Aboriginal, Literacy and Budget committees. I value making decisions in an ethical, inclusive and transparent manner.
Graduation rates have improved to just above the provincial average during the past six years, but there is more to do. By actively listening to our diverse community, we will understand the needs of our youth, and find opportunities to increase their successes.
I am committed to public education, and will continue to work towards ensuring every possible opportunity is available for all of our children. I have the proven ability to make difficult decisions under challenging circumstances, and will continue to advocate for the children and parents of Mission.
