Fun and thrills at Missionfest

Annual event drew hundreds to downtown Mission last Saturday.

BC 4X4 Association had many of their vehicles on display at this weekend's Missionfest.

Clear skies and several new attractions drew large crowds to this year’s Missionfest last weekend.

The annual event took place Saturday throughout the downtown core.

Attractions included a 4×4 vehicle display for motor enthusiasts, a section for non-profit community groups to showcase their programs, Mission RCMP and firefighters, extended hours for the Mission Farmers’ Market, a logging sports show and the always-popular children’s section filled with games, bouncy castles, activities and more.

New this year was a special addition to the vendors’ block: a three-storey, 300-foot-long zipline, which visitors could ride along a full city block.
