Mounties are still looking for the man who robbed a Mission hair salon at knifepoint Saturday morning while apologizing for his actions.

According to a witness, the man walked into Magicuts at the Junction Mall around 11:30 a.m. and, without alerting the other customers in the salon, drew a knife and asked for cash from the till.

After the man left with an unknown amount of cash, the clerk notified customers that the store had been robbed. She said the man had taken all the money but that he had apologized for any stress his actions caused.

Police were promptly called and Mounties deployed police dogs but were unable to track down the robber.

Police say the man was white, about five-foot-10 and of stocky build. He wore a black ball cap. Anyone with information is asked to call Mission RCMP at 604-826-7161
