Rain wasn’t enough to stop people from coming to Fraser River Heritage Park on Saturday to check out the Mission Roots and Blues Festival.

The family-friendly event – which was created by the Mission Folk Music Festival and the district’s parks,  recreation and culture department – featured live music from Jimmy D. Lane, LazerKatz, Swamp City and more.

It also included a hay maze, pumpkins, games, crafts and a pie-eating contest.
