Police seek assistance in robbery and assault case

Victim has no recollection of the April 29 incident

Mission RCMP are now asking the public's help solve a robbery and assault which happened April 29, 2012.

An intoxicated male was walking northbound on Horne Street from First Avenue around 6:30 p.m. when he was assaulted and robbed.

“Witnesses stated that the suspect pushed the victim to the ground, then robbed him of his personal possessions,” said Sgt. Peter Thiessen, spokesperson for the Lower Mainland District Regional Police Service. “The suspect then walked away eastbound on Second Avenue with another male.”

The victim suffered a head injury as a result of this incident and has no recollection of the assault.

The primary suspect is described as a white male, tall and thin, with very short light-colored hair. The second male, with whom the first male walked away, is described as a white male having dark hair.
