Three suspects were arrested last night after Abbotsford Police received a report of an assault involving a 46-year-old woman.

The report came in at about 9:30 p.m., when police received a call that an assault was in progress in the 4200 block of Gladwin Road (between Downes and Clayburn roads).

Abbotsford Police Sgt. Judy Bird said a man stated that he had found an injured woman near his residence and had brought her inside.

Officers and BC ambulance personnel arrived on the scene, and the victim was transported to hospital for the treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

Bird said investigators then began speaking with people in the home to determine exactly what had happened, but no clear details emerged.

Two men and a woman from the residence were then taken into police custody.

“We’re still sorting out the facts,” Bird said Friday morning. “The stories that those involved have provided do not make sense.”

She said the victim requires rest at this time, and investigators have not yet been able to question her more thoroughly.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Abbotsford Police Department at 604-859-5225, text 222973 (abbypd) or call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
