Occupants of two vehicles exchanged gunfire near the intersection of Willowbrook Drive and 200th Street on Wednesday afternoon, Langley RCMP confirmed as investigation into the incident continued.

Dozens of police swarmed the area around the intersection shortly after 3:30 p.m. on April 10, after reports of gunfire were called in.

The incident appears to have been an exchange of shots between two vehicles, both of which left the scene, said Sgt. Barry Beales. Police have recovered shell casings in the area.

“Nobody’s reported injuries at this point,” Beales said on Thursday.

Police are hoping to find security camera or dash cam footage of the vehicles, as witnesses have mostly described them simply as dark coloured vehicles.

Anyone with information, including dash cam footage, is asked to contact the Langley RCMP at 604-532-3200 and quote file #24-11020.
