Notice of Intention to Amend Council Procedure Bylaw 5345-2013

Pursuant to Section 124(3) of the Community Charter, Council is required to give public notice that they are considering an amendment to the Council Procedure Bylaw.

At the January 22, 2024 regular meeting, Council gave first three readings to proposed Council Procedure Amending Bylaw 6263-2024-5345(9). The proposed amendments are to:

  • Restrict electronic participation by Council members in Closed meetings unless there is an emergency, and
  • Clarify the rules and procedures for delegations to Council.

Copies of the Bylaw can be viewed on the City’s website at mission.ca or in the Corporate Administration Department of Municipal Hall, 2nd Floor, 8645 Stave Lake Street, Mission, BC, during regular business hours.

Council will consider adopting the proposed Council Procedure Amending Bylaw at the February 5, 2024 Regular Council meeting.
