Alex left us suddenly and unexpectedly on the evening of December 29, 2016. He was predeceased by his father Joseph, mother Katalin, sister Betty (George), nephew Stan and great-niece Adriana. Left to grieve are his loving wife of 54 years, Eileen, his three sons, Ty (Denise) and their children Ethan, Eli, Emily and Ehren, Dean (Karen) and their children Quinn and Chloe, Chris (Corinna) and their children Matt, Jake and Ryan, his brother Joe (Angie) and many nieces and nephews. Alex’s “trap line” included all of his coffee buddies at Tim Horton’s and McDonald’s, his billiard buddies ~ although most of them were no competition, and all of his fishing buddies at the Vedder and Mill Lake ~ even Tom. Just over a year ago, Alex survived a horrific accident and made a miraculous recovery. He did face some challenges, but we all feel blessed to have had that extra time with him. Alex loved the outdoors, fishing and spending time with his family around the fire on Father’s Day where regular verbal sparring was commonplace.
We will all miss you terribly, love you always and be forever grateful that we could call you our husband, father, brother, grandfather, uncle and friend. All are invited to attend a celebration of Alex’s life at Henderson’s Fraser Valley Funeral Home, 34537 Marshall Road, Abbotsford on Thursday, January 12, 2017 at 11:00 am.
