Anna Leta Jean (nee McGowan) LINLEY

Anna Leta Jean (nee McGowan) passed away Tuesday, February 21, 2006.

Mrs. Linley was born September 20, 1912 near Toronto, Ontario. In 1987, she was predeceased by her husband of over 50 years, Herbert William Linley.

Anne was a creative, wise, energetic and gregarious person who throughout her life strove for excellence and encouraged friends and family to do the same.

She was an amazing home­maker who enjoyed baking, making unique crafts and gardening.

Anne was proud of her Scottish heritage and was an Honorary Life Member of the Alberta Highland Dancing Association.

She will be lovingly missed by family and many special friends including her daughter Bonnie Jean Anderson (Jason); son Peter Linley (Beverly); brother Donald McGowan (Grace) of Victoria; her five grandchildren, Cheryl Lee (Kevin) of Deep Cove, Todd Negladuik (Ann) of Abbotsford, Natasha Anderson of Abbotsford, Michael Linley currently in Tibet and Michele Linley of London, UK as well as her four step-grandchildren Jason, Jenni, Kris and Kyle and four great-grandchildren, Curtis Anderson, Emma Lee, Tommy Lee and Blayne Negladuik and other extended family.

She was a strong influence in all our lives and will be greatly missed.

A celebration of Anne’s life will take place Friday, March 3 at

2:30 pm at Peace Lutheran Church in Abbotsford. Officiated by Rev. Herman Hagen.
