Born June 21, 1927 in Filmore, Saskatchewan, passed away peacefully with his loved ones by his side on June 7, 2009 at the age of 81. Audrey Margrete (nee Cherry) born March 29, 1927 in Lynn Valley, North Vancouver, passed away peacefully on Aug. 23, 2009 at the age of 82. Dale and Audrey were married on January 19, 1948. survived by daughter June (Lloyd) Carnahan; son Ken (Sylvia) Botkin; grandsons Scott (Andrea) Carnahan, Brian Carnahan, Ken (Sherry) Botkin and Steven Botkin; Granddaughter Jean (Cam) Romanchuk; God-daughter Heather (Jock) Andrew and several great grandchildren, sisters, brothers and several close friends. Dale and Audrey were devoted and loving parents, grandparents, great-grandparents, and friends. Dale and Audrey in their working years dairy farmed for several years in the Lower Mainland until 1970, owned and operated Peardonville Corner Store (1972-1974) and was an independent Distribution Contractor delivering in the Fraser Valley for the Vancouver Sun, from 1974 until July 1993. Dale and Audrey owned a summer home on the lake in Washington State until he retired in 1993, then they bought an RV, and would go traveling and enjoy life to the fullest. A Memorial Service will be held for Dale and Audrey on Thursday, Sept, 10, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at Woodlawn Funeral Home, 2310 Clearbrook Rd., Abbotsford. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in their name's to the B.C. Cancer Society or the B.C. Lung Association.
