ABRAHAMS, David was born to Jakob & Katarina (Martens) Abrahams on June 26 1928 in Rosser, Manitoba. He married Helena Wiebe on Nov. 11, 1950.

He ran a leasing and operating a Home Oil service station with his brother Jake.

They moved to Abbotsford in April 1995 where they attended Bakerview Church. In November, 1999, he had his first 'so called' seizure. March 10, 2000 he was taken to a neurologist in Vancouver and was diagnosed with Fahr's syndrome: calcification of the brain. This caused deterioration of his body over the 9 years. Dave attended Maplewood house 2 days a week and really enjoyed it. Even though he was disabled he was always happy and never complained. He is survived by his wife, Helena, of 58 years; son Victor (Irene); Grandchildren: Sharon (Darcy Froese); Brian (Andree) and Jeff; Great grandchildren: Rachael, Kaitlyn, & Jaden Froese, and Johnathan Abrahams.

Funeral service will be held at 1:30 pm, Saturday, March 28, 2009 at Woodlawn Funeral Home, 2310 Clearbrook Road, Abbotsford, BC
