Dharminder (Tony) Singh Harry of Abbotsford, B.C., passed away peacefully on November 7, 2017 at the age of 43 after a five-year battle with cancer. 

He is survived by his loving wife Tamy and their two beautiful daughters, Jasmina and Anisha, parents Malkit and Surinder, sisters Harinder (Jason) and Neelam (Neil) and many aunts and uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

Dharminder was born in Merritt, BC on August 6, 1974 and graduated from Merritt Secondary School.  He went on to complete a Diploma in Criminal Justice at the University of the Fraser Valley, a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science at Simon Fraser University and a Diploma in Public Sector Management, Public Administration at the University of Victoria.

He had a passion for helping others and held various positions in social services affiliated with governmental organizations. His last position was as an Employment Services Case Manager with WorkBC in Mission. 

Dharminder will be remembered for his patriotism and love for politics and shared that love with everyone. During his career, he was always ambitiously seeking to obtain positions in municipal, provincial or federal government to help plan and deliver government programs and policy. 

His positive attitude during his battle was one that inspired many and provided all those surrounding him with immense love and strength during his journey.  He will be remembered for his jovial attitude, big smile and his encouraging and supportive words and advice to all. He always stressed the importance of education and has influenced the goals and achievements of his loved ones. 

The family would like to thank the following members of Dharminder's medical team and supporting staff: Dr. Jangra, Dr. Keith, Dr. Ahmed, Dr. Ashrafi, Dr. Chung, Dr. McConnell, Dr. Mack, Dr. Parmar, Dr. Ballard, Dr. Saran, Dr. Ghafari, Dr. Mitchinson and Dr. Danescu. 

The staff in the BC Cancer Agency Clinic chemotherapy room, radiation room, palliative complex care unit, emergency department, Kuljeet in the pharmacy in the 24hrs Shoppers Drug Mart, Windermere Clinic, Hospice Society and the Life-Link Counselling Group. 

As well, a special and warm heartfelt thank you to all family and friends for their support. 

Funeral services will take place on Saturday, November 11 at 12:30 pm at the Fraser River Funeral Home located at 2061 Riverside Road in Abbotsford, B.C.
