Helene Dueck passed away peacefully on Sat, Nov 8, 2008. She was born on Aug 26, 1924 in Gnadenheim, Ukraine. Her parents were Johann and Helene Dueck. She came to Canada to her relatives in Gem, Alberta in 1948. After teacher training, she taught until her retirement. Helene is survived by 2 sisters, Agatha and Anny, in Germany, and 1 brother, Gerhard, in Russia.
She was predeceased by her brother, Hans in Russia, and her parents.
The celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, Nov 15, 2008 at 1:30pm and the viewing will be held before the service from 1pm, at Woodlawn Funeral Home, 2310 Clearbrook Rd, Abbotsford, BC. Followed by interment at MacClure Road Mennonite Cemetery.
