NEVILLE, Ian

July 16,1945 - June 2, 2010

Ian Neville died peacefully at the Mission Hospice on June 2, 2010 after a six month battle with mesothelioma. Ian is predeceased by his brother, Bruce. He leaves behind his daughters Jennifer Neville and Caroline Stewart, his son in law Mike Stewart, his granddaughter Avery Stewart, his devoted companion Francine Brown, and his brother David Neville, and many friends and family members.

A man of integrity and strong conviction he will be remembered for his big heart and big voice. After 40 years as an industrial pipefitter he semi- retired to his new endeavour as a contract truck driver. He could see the potential in discarded material and put it to good use to build some of his house, shop and barns. Always generous he never hesitated to lend his equipment and to give free advice. He will be missed by all his family and friends.

A special thanks to Dr. Patel and the wonderful nurses of the Home Care program especially Steve Major and Kathy Bates. Without their help it would not have been possible to have Ian at home where he enjoyed his last months. Also, a special thanks to Daljit Dhariwal from WCB who helped with the paper work.

No flowers, in lieu please make a donation to the Salvation Army.

A celebration of life will be held at the Mission Best Western on Saturday June 12, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. with Reverend Robin Ross to officiate.
