SIMPSON; Janet
A family Celebration of Life was held on Saturday, August 29, 2015 in Abbotsford, BC. Janet was born in Russia on April 11, 1923, and came to Canada with her family in 1926. The Braun's farmed in the Peace River area until Janet married Henry Janzen in 1940. They raised their family in LaGlace until they moved to the Fraser Valley in 1960. Janet started a new phase of her life in the early 60's. In 1967, she married Les Simpson; they had a loving marriage until his death in 1993. With her love of fashion, beauty and dancing Janet's life was filled with her passions, second only to her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Janet became involved with her community as a loyal volunteer at the Mennonite Cultural Centre until days before her departure on August 25, 2015. She will be greatly missed. Janet's request was for a private family gathering. On behalf of the family we would like to express our thanks to her many friends for the friendship, caring and love shown to our mother throughout her life.
