After a long and meaningful life Leon went peacefully into the presence of his Lord with his family by his side. Born and raised in Steinbach, Manitoba, he left home, moved to Winnipeg and in 1950 married his sweetheart Marge. There they had three children and long cold winters. Being a carpenter who loved to work outside, he packed up the family and moved to Abbotsford in 1966, where he remained for the rest of his life. Leon was a generous man who never said no to some-one in genuine need. His integrity and dependability were evident to all who knew him. He is survived by Marge (his wife of 65 years), sons Brian (Jean), Bruce, daughter Brenda, seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held on Friday, September 4th at 1:00 pm at Abbotsford Pentecostal Assembly, 3145 Gladwin Road. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Franklin Graham's Samaritan's Purse.
