Leslie Leppard passed away at Abbotsford Regional Hospital on January 19, 2010. He was predeceased by his wife, Patricia Leppard, in 1978. He is survived by his son John Leppard of Burnaby, daughter Leslie Froese (Jim Anness) of Delta, son Jim Leppard (Darcie Wright) of Williams Lake, granddaughter Jaimie Tocher (Gerry Tocher), grandsons Matt Froese and Liam Leppard, great grandson Logan Tocher. Also survived by his brother Edward (Ron) Leppard of Chezzetcook, Nova Scotia, and special dear friend Aldis Haan of Redding, California.

Les was born on May 27, 1919 in London, England and came to Canada as a baby, settling in Redcliff, Alberta. He served in the RCAF as a wireless instructor from 1939 to 1945. He lived in Abbotsford from the mid 1940s until his death. He was involved in Boy Scouts from the troop to district level, Abbotsford Coin Club as well as other coin clubs in BC and Washington, and worked for Hume and Rumble and BC Hydro for most of his life, retiring in 1984. He was a member of the Abbotsford Legion and a lifetime member of IBEW.

Thank you to the staff of Abbotsford Regional Hospital, Baker and Cheam 2 and 3 wards, for their special care in the past months. Also to Dr. Gerald Mitchell for his help through the past years and the past months in particular. No service by request, private family gathering will take place.
