Jan. 28, 1917 – April 18, 2010

Born in Prince Rupert to pioneers Jean & Jarvis McLeod, Margaret was a longtime resident in Abbotsford. She will be remembered as a talented community volunteer, serving as a leader of seniors bus trips for many years. In addition, she was an active member of Learning Plus and the archaeology society. She was involved in local and provincial Numismatic circles, winning many awards and recognition for her contributions to the hobby. As a master gardener she shared her lifelong interest and expertise with many people. She was predeceased by her husband’s, Hermitt “Pete” Sweeten, (sons Peter & George) and Major Cyril Nixon (daughter Lynn). Survived by her sisters, Dorothy Eastwood and Patricia Patchel, brother Archie McLeod (Marion) of Abbotsford and grandsons Keith Sweeten and Phillip Watney. No service by reque
