CLARK, Marion Eileen

nee Ambrose

On August 8, 2009 at the age of 90 years, Marion Eileen (Ambrose) Clark completed her journey on Earth and peacefully went to join her father William , her mother Nellie, her brother Burt, her sister Helen, her grandson Troy, and her great grandson Justis. Marion was a devoted wife to Bert for 62 years and a wonderful mother and mother in law to David(Paulette), Dennis (Sharon), Karen(Paul), Patti(Rick), and Gregg( Lisa). She was blessed with 11 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

Born in Toronto, during World War II Marion found her way to work as a secretary on the construction of the Alaska Highway and then to New York City for British secret security. It was in New York that she first met Bert. They subsequently married in Toronto, and the growing family followed Bert's army career to Manitoba, Ontario, and New Brunswick.

After a 27 year military career, Bert retired and the family settled in Mission, where Bert and Marion lived for over 41 years.

Marion had a wonderful sense of humour, which she needed raising her 5 children. She was a very patient and loving person, and in her special way she proved to all of her children that each and every one was really her favorite. Marion also loved travel. With Bert she visited England, Ireland, Scotland, and Australia. But in all the world, her favorite place was Hawaii. There are no words to express how much her family loves her and will miss her. The best way to show her is to emulate how she lived her life, which is to say that in every respect she was kind, humble, graceful and dignified. The family wishes to especially thank Marion's cousin Lynn Regan for her innumerable kindness, the nurses and staff at the Dr Stuart Pavilion and Mission Memorial Hospital, nurse Sam, and Dr Wouterloot for his wonderful care. We are all blessed to know her.
