Mary Ann Rockwell (nee Hutcheon) passed away peacefully on May 26, 2010 in her 90th year. Mary was born in Scotland and served in the RAF in WWII. It was here she met her future husband, Irvin (Rocky) Rockwell. They married in 1945. Mary was predeceased by Rocky in 1988. She is survived by her children Michael, Lorne (Terry), Moira (Dennis), June (Neil), 5 grandsons, and two great grandsons, many nephews and nieces, and loving friends.

Mary immigrated to Mission during the flood of 1948. Mary and Rocky raised their four children in Mission, where Mary was very involved in the community. She served as Zone Commissioner for the Girl Guides in the Mission area. Mary was an avid curler and served on the executive of the Mission Granite Club, and was also the secretary of the BCLCA. Mary always had a passion for gardening, fishing, and card games.

A Celebration of Mary’s life will be held on Friday, June 25th, 1:00 pm at St. Andrew’s United Church, 7756 Grand St., Mission. In lieu of flowers, donations to the charity of your choice are welcomed.
