Policeman - Instructor. It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Michael Schmur while vacationing in Nevada. Michael is lovingly remembered by brother Walter (Margaret); daughter Louise (Paul); sons Paul (Lu) and Tim (Sherri); six grand - children and by many friends. Born in Orechow, Ukraine to Nikkolai and Luise Schmur, Michael emigrated to Canada in 1949 at the age of 7. After spending his youth in BC, he moved to Alberta, eventually settling in Slave Lake. Services were held March 7th in Slave Lake. If friends so desire, donations may be made to the Alberta Diabetes Foundation as expression of sympathy.
