SNELL, Mildred Doreen (nee Price)

In her 86th year, our Mom, Grandma, and Mama passed away peacefully. With her loving husband, Jim, by her side, Mildred, "Mickey" made peace with the world on Saturday, June 6. She was the 3rd child born to May and Allen Price in Saskatoon, Sask. She graduated from high school and then moved to Vancouver to start her nurses training at Vancouver General Hospital. She graduated in 1946 and fell in love and married Jim in 1947. Two daughters Carlene (1954) and Sheri (1957) were chosen to bless their home! The family moved to the Okanagan Valley in 1959 and Mickey and Jim resided in Penticton until 1991. They chose Abbotsford community to be their new home, where she resided until her death. She loved to be with people, and people loved to be with her. Her passions included playing bridge, attending church, traveling and camping, and entertaining family and friends. Everyone who met her was drawn in by her warmth, kindness and sincerity! Her bright smile, her welcoming manner and her never ending concern for others touched all of us who knew her! She has left a huge void and will be greatly missed by everyone, especially those she leaves behind. Mildred is survived by her loving husband James "Jim", her oldest daughter Carlene Stein, son-in-law Len Stein, 3 granddaughters Christen Gagnon, Cara Stein and Caitlyn Stein, her grandson-in-law David Gagnon, and 3 great grandsons James, Ben and Charlie Gagnon, her youngest daughter Sheri Mauer, and granddaughter Sherise Snell, and a nephew Guy Price.
"We love you so much and will hold you in our hearts forever!" ~ We will be watching the clouds.
A family gathering to celebrate Mildred's life will be held at a later date.
