It is with heavy hearts that we are announcing the passing of our Mum, Mollie Bedford on September 21, 2017 @ the Kipnes Centre for Veterans in Edmonton, Alberta @ the age of 97 years. 

Mum resided in Saskatchewan House @ Kipness Centre for 2 years and 7 months.  Mum was predeased by our Dad, Noris Bedford in 2006 and granddaughter, Laura in 1981.

Mum was born in Curragh, Kildare, Ireland on August 21,1920 to Emma Jane and George Cox, Mum was raised in India and Wales, UK.    

Mum served with the British Army during the Second World War, Dad served in the Canadian Army, they met and married in London, England and Mum journeyed with Dad to his hometown of  Kelleher, Saskatchewan to start a new life.   

They resided in Kelleher for a year and then with Dad's parent's, Elizabeth and Daniel moved to Mission City, B.C. in 1946.

Dad started work at the Ford Dealership in Mission City and then went on to work at the Bellevue Hotel where he was a well known "fixture" until he retired.  Mum was a Homemaker and a wonderful mother. Mum was a Life Member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Mum served on the Legion Executive and spent many hours volunteering with the Legion.

Mum is survived, by Robert ( Marlene ), Moira ( Mike), Brett (Gwen ) and Roger ( Arlene,) Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren.  

The Family would like to thank Kipnes Centre Staff for the wonderful care they provided  Mum while she was a resident and for the compassionate care in her last days.

A memorial service will be held in Mission B.C. next Spring. Mum was cremated and will be  buried with Dad at the Hatzic Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of choice.

The Family would like to thank Beth @ Riverview Memorial Funeral Home in Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta, for all her kindness and especially for her professional assistance.
