ISRAEL Muriel Lillian
Muriel Lillian Israel passed away very peacefully into the presence of her Lord, surrounded by family, on Saturday, August 8, 2009 at her home in Abbotsford. Muriel was in her 85th year and is now reunited with her husband, Cliff (1981).
She is survived by her children, Lillian (Ron) Janzen of 100 Mile House, Dale of Chetwynd, Shirley (John) Anning of Matsqui Village; 1 brother, Allan McCuaig; 1 sister, Una (Owen) Dupre; grandchildren, Cameron (Michelle), Dean (Crystal), Scott (Jessica), Jen (Chris), and Nic (Samantha); great grandchildren, Trevor, Miranda, Connor and Abigail. Muriel was a true matriarch; loved by Sharon, and many other honorary family members.
Muriel was a WWII veteran. She was a charter member of the Mt. Lehman ANAVET Club and was given a lifetime membership in 2002. Mom was also an avid crib player, gardener and knitter and very proud of her 10,000 km Sevenoaks Walking Club plaque.
A Celebration of her life will take place on Friday, August 21 at 10:30 am in the Aldergrove United Church, 2623 - 272nd St, Aldergrove. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the BC Lung Association and to BC Women's Hospital and Health Center.
