Patricia Olivia Coutts

April 25, 1947 ~ January 15, 2009

Pat was born in Mission and after a courageous and lengthy battle with cancer, passed away peacefully into the hands of our Lord on January 15, 2009 at the age of 61. Predeceased by her parents Jim and Mabel Coutts, she will be lovingly remembered by her son, Alex; her great aunt, Violet; aunt Evelyn (Austin); her sisters Sheila Jack (David), Karen Vanzella (Laurie) and Darcy Heriot (Gerry); brothers, Allen Coutts (Kathy), Bart Coutts (Debbie) and Perry Coutts (Laura) as well as her special friends, Marlene (Arnie) and family, numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends. Pat grew up in Mission. After high school she moved to Vancouver where she worked for several years. Upon her return to Mission, she took a job with Corrections Canada, where she worked for 25 years until her retirement at age 60. Pat took great pleasure in being an active member of the Order of Eastern Star, where she held many positions including office of worthy matron. Pats heart was always in the right place, looking for that "special something" for her family. She never missed a birthday or special occasion and in this large family, there are many. The family would like to thank the staff at Christine Morrison Hospice for the excellent care that Pat received in her final days. Those wishing to pay their respects are invited to a viewing at Woodlawn Mission Funeral Home (7386 Horne Street, Mission) on Thursday, January 22, 2009 from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. A Celebration of Pat's life will be held at Northside Community Church (33507 Dewdney Trunk Road, Mission) on Friday, January 23, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. with a reception following. In lieu of flowers, donations to the BC Cancer Foundation would be greatly appreciated. Arrangements entrusted to
