It is with great sadness that the family advises that Roy passed away peacefully, June 20, 2008 at the MSA Hospital Cottage. Roy is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Margaret (nee McCuaig), daughters Lynne (Mel Dagg), Heather (Don Davies), Cathy (Ken McAllister) & son Norman (Lorraine). He is also survived by grandchilden Teresa, Roger, Todd, Leanna, Jackie,Jason, Jennifer, Matthew, Melissa, Andrea, Lori, Tyler, Yalonda; great granchildren Jeff, Christopher, Laura, Grace, Juztis, McKenzie, Noel, Christian, Abigail & Noah. He is also survived by brother Harold and sisters-in-law Enola Stewart, Jean Peterson & Dorothy (Austin) Case & numerous nieces and nephews. Roy was predeceased by his Mother Gladys., sister Patricia Clark and brothers-in-law Roy Stewart, Don McCuaig & Jim Peterson.

Roy was born in Ocean Falls, B.C. April 23, 1923. He served in the RCAF at the Boundary Bay flight training center as a mechanic during WW2. A skilled carpenter by trade (member of Carpenters Union 452), he participated in numerous building construction projects in the lower mainland. He constructed his own homes in Naniamo & Port Coquitlam & enjoyed helping relatives constuct or remodel their homes (he was the boss.) Roy's sense of humour never left him & will not be forgotten by those close to him. He was very fond of all his grand & great grandchildren. They will miss their grandfather. An avid golfer, Roy could be found at the Cultus Lake golf course on the mornings of Monday, Wednesday & Friday with Margaret and other friends from Crown Point Villas. He also enjoyed golfing with Norm, Don, Ken, Jason, Todd and Matt.

The Gregg family would like to express their gratefulness to Palative Care for their support while caring for Dad at home. Special thanks to Dr. Fluit & Dr. Todorov. Also to the "Cottage" Dr.s & Nurses during his brief stay.
