Our very much loved and admired son Ryan, passed away in the early evening, while at his home in Abbotsford. Ryan was our first born and much longed for child. He came into this world two weeks late and now he has left this world far too early. While we so dearly wish that our time with Ryan could have been longer, we feel so fortunate to have been blessed with the gift of an additional 11 years with him, following a devastating accident he had at the age of 17. Those that know Ryan, know he lived these 11 years with an unbelievable courage, strength and optimism. Ryan set very high standards and goals for himself. The week of his death he was confident that some of his biggest dreams and goals were about to come true . . . and he was ecstatic. We love Ryan unconditionally for his strengths and his weaknesses. We are his parents Joanne and Darryl, his brother Sean, his grandparents Joyce and Don Orr, his aunts, uncles and cousins, and of course his many friends. Ryan, we believe we will hold you in our arms again, hear you laugh and see the twinkle in your eye. Until then, we know you are with your Auntie Sharon, who was and will continue to be, your guardian angel. Ryan we will love you and will be proud of you forever. The celebration of Ryan’s life will be Saturday, January 9th at 11:00 am, at Cascade Community Church, 35190 DeLair Road, Abbotsford, BC. If desired, donations in Ryan’s name can be made to Matthew’s House, Abbotsford (a charity Ryan recently told us he planned to assist in the future) or Ronald McDonald House, London, Ontario (who assisted our family when needed 11 years ago).
