Sarah McFarlane passed away peacefully at Menno Home on Sunday, May 25, 2008 in her 98th year. She was born in Scotland in 1910 and came to Canada as an infant. Sarah was predeceased by her husband Lloyd in 1997 and 12 siblings. She is survived by her beloved son, David who was the light of her life; 3 nephews, Merv (Doris) Stewart, Roy (Joan) McBride and Doug (May) McBride; 1 niece, Kathleen (Bill) Swartzenburger and their children and grandchildren; and special friends and care givers to David, Barbara & Brian Boulter and faithful friend Marjorie Bonk.
A Christian Celebration of Sarah's life will be held on Friday, May 30, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. at Abbotsford Pentecostal Assembly - Lukas Centre, 3145 Gladwin Rd. Burial will follow at Hazelwood Cemetery; Pastor John Coughlan officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the MSA Society for Community Living.
