Troy Nikirk passed away peacefully on December 8, 2005 in Mission, BC. Troy leaves behind his wife Michele; daughter Kailee; sons Matthew, Taylor and Jordan; and baby granddaughter Ava, as well as a large extended family and many friends.
Besides having a successful 15-year career in corrections, Troy was also actively involved in community sports, both as a player and as a coach of several youth teams. A beloved husband, son, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, Troy will be missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
A memorial service will be held at the Matsqui Recreation Centre in the viewing terrace, located at 3106 Clearbrook Rd., Abbotsford, BC on Saturday, December 17, 2005 from 1:00-4:30 pm
In lieu of flowers, Troy's family has asked that donations be made to the Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada, 620 Colborne St., Suite 301, London, Ontario N6B 3R9.
