- It is with great sadness that the family of Violet Viola James announce her passing on April 13, 2008 at the age of 81.
She will be lovingly remembered by her husband, John; daughter, Judy Bentley; son David (Andree); grandchildren, Christina John and Tara; great grandchildren, Trevor, Gwendyllyn, Elizabeth, Andrew, Larissa and Ashley; as well as extended family and friends.
Violet was very active, many may remember Violet as their Brownie or Guide Leader, or as the Vice President of the Mission Garden Club where she held the position for 3 years. She loved her work as the secretary for the Diabetes Association where she also worked for 3 years. She enjoyed swimming, lawn bowling and camping.
A celebration of her life will be held at Woodlawn Mission Funeral Home on Saturday, April 19, 2008 at 3:00 p.m., with a reception to follow at the Royal Canadian Legion, Mission Branch #57 32627, Logan Avenue. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
