LETTER: Cyclist experiences too many near-misses

I am invisible to many drivers, it seems. Only with a safety vest would I be more visible.

I have come to the conclusion that there have been too many near-misses involving me and my bicycle.

I am invisible to many drivers, it seems. Only with a safety vest would I be more visible. That would just mean I become a bull’s eye.

On Aug. 26, a man driving a pickup truck ignored my left hand signal. I was not just pointing to something as you went right through my path, and honked your horn.

To the lady driving on First Avenue, the painted crosswalk in front of the post office is not a suggestion. She and her passenger looked at me with a “gee whiz” expression.
