As a long-time pedestrian of Mission, I am very happy that drivers may read my letter, or just obey the laws of the road concerning crosswalks – except for the ones in town (First Avenue).
Downtown, there are two lanes crossing over four crosswalks that are unlighted.
But they are there. While the nearest lane driver may see you, very often not the other lane.
Railway Avenue also has crosswalks but there is never a problem with crossing safely.
Maybe the grade or elevation of that roadway will help.
