It has been two weeks now since you have stolen from me – a mountain bike.
It was especially enticing with the $90 of goodies I had purchased only a week before.
But there I go using large words. No hope from you understanding, let alone reading this.
Also attached to the bike was a reusable bag with a favoured coat. In the coat pocket was my cell phone. I used it for job offers, fill-in work for sick co-workers, notice of my father’s illness worsening and other important calls.
Not anymore.
And then there was the red helmet connected to the crossbar.
It was an older 21-speed mountain bike – blue with white letters. It has distinctive black fenders, new hand grips, seat and kickstand.
Not only was it a joy to ride, but I used it to ride to and from work, shopping, etc. daily in the summer.
If you’ve seen someone riding a bike but has not had one before, let the local police detachment know. I’d like it back.
