Mission Cedar Kings are moving on after a big playoff win.

The Mission Cedar Kings are moving on after a big playoff win over the Ladner Pioneers in Port Coquitlam on Monday.

Mission edged the Pioneers 13-12 in the one-game playoff to advance to round two of the West Central Senior C Lacrosse League’s postseason.

The Cedar Kings got goals from: Brenton Graham (four), Gavan Sand (three), Cody Thompson (two), Owen Munro (two), Jordan Robb and John Makowsky. Paul Makowsky contributed with a team-high four assists, and goalie Jeff Lissimore made 47 saves to earn the win.

Mission now moves on to the semi-final best-of-three series against the top-ranked Coquitlam Adanacs. Game one occurred yesterday (Thursday), but results were not available at press time. Game two is set for Saturday at 7 p.m., and game three, if necessary, goes down on Monday at 9 p.m. All games in the series occur in Port Coquitlam.
