Football season ends for two Mission teams

Both the Heritage Park and Hatzic Middle School teams were eliminated from the AA conference playoffs.

The football season is officially over for a pair of Mission Grade 8 teams.

Both the Heritage Park and Hatzic Middle School teams qualified for the AA conference playoffs after posting identical records of one win and four losses during the regular season.

Heritage Park travelled to Langley on Monday to take on HD Stafford in round one of the playoffs, and lost 20-6. Stafford was the second-ranked team in the AA conference during the regular season, posting a record of three wins and one loss.

Hatzic took on Samuel Robertson Technical in Maple Ridge on Tuesday, falling 44-22. SRT finished in first place in the AA conference in the regular season, with a perfect record of five wins and zero losses.

Also eliminated on Monday was Abbotsford Middle, who fell 24-17 to Pitt Meadows in Abbotsford.
