Outlaws hope to end losing streak as Kodiaks come to town

The Mission Outlaws, who have enjoyed a fantastic season so far, have uncharacteristically lost two games in a row.

The first-place Mission Outlaws hockey squad is planning to return to its winning ways on Saturday when the Aldergrove Kodiaks come to town.

On Dec. 5, the locals fell 4-2 to the Abbotsford Pilots and on Tuesday (Dec. 8) the squad lost 4-3 to the Delta Ice Hawks.

David McGowan and Sammy Zeinab scored for Mission in the Abbotsford contest.

Goaltender Jeffrey Veitch made 22 saves in the loss.

In Delta, Bryce Pisiak, Noah Wiebe and McGowan scored while Gunnar Neilsen took the loss in net.

Despite the losses, the Outlaws are still in first place in the division, six points ahead of Abbotsford.

Mission hosts third-place Aldergrove at the Mission Leisure Centre on Saturday, Dec. 12. Puck drops at 6:45 p.m.
