The chamber of commerce’s Business Excellence Awards on June 8 celebrated businesses and organizations that go above and beyond in Mission.

Presented by RDM Lawyers LLP, the awards were held at Silverdale Community Centre as a nostalgic nod to the Mission Regional Chamber of Commerce’s 120th anniversary celebrations. Those in attendance enjoyed the glance back at the growth of Mission and the strength of today’s business community.

Award recipients were:

Save On Foods: Local Focus Award

Mission Arts Council: Community Builder Awarded

Cherry Lane Scrapbook Shoppe Inc.: Customer First Award

Nutek Sign Creations: Power of Small Award

Mission Springs Brewing Co.: Intrapreneurial Excellence Award

Ron Leger, RJ Leger CGA: President’s Award

During an intermission, the chamber unveiled a short video that was created to highlight its work and the growing business community over the last 120 years. The full video will be posted on the chamber’s YouTube channel later this month. Photos of the event and information on the recipients can be found at missionchamber.bc.ca.
