The Mission Chamber hosted a special Chamber Member Appreciation event on July 20 at Sandpiper Golf Course to celebrate the growing membership and chamber successes.

Members were given the opportunity to engage with BC Chamber CEO and President Val Litwin and learn about their new brand launch from the BC Chamber and how it will help to shape the chamber movement.

Litwin began his presentation with an update from the BC Chamber on the change of government and how it will affect the business environment in the coming months.

“We are in an interesting time in our province as we see the elimination of the Small Business Ministry and we are keeping a close eye on how this will affect our members in the long term,” said Litwin.

The free event was an overwhelming success with members being given the opportunity to golf for free all day and were treated to a champagne reception sponsored by Sandpiper Golf Course.

“The Mission chamber gets to stand for businesses in Mission through our advocacy efforts, provide useful and cost saving benefits and creating valuable connections to build their businesses,” said Kristin Parsons, executive director.

The next chamber event is the second annual Night Golf taking place on Sept. 15 at Cedar Ridge Golf Course. For more information visit missionchamber.bc.ca.
